4th of July!
I haven't blogged in awhile but nothing new has really happened. Just like last summer I have struggled to find work to make money, so this summer I have spent a lot of my time with my family. I've had a lot of free time. I have absolutely loved it but at the same time it has make me so stressed about money! But as of last week, the holiday week, I was able to have some fun. On the 4th, McKayla, Janey, and I decided to float the Yakima River. It was great! We parked the cars at the ending and beginning spots and hopped on our floaties and enjoyed the 2 hour float! The water was nice and it was heavenly. Because of this new anti-biotic I am taking for my acne, I have to be really careful in the sun when it comes to my face. So I sun screened up, wore my hat and had my glasses on and I was just fine! I just wish I would have sun screened some other parts of my body! I am still suffering from those nice burns!
After the float we headed home and right when we got home, the family took the boat out. So I reapplied my sun screen, my glasses, and got my nice big floppy hat to protect my face! Oh and I can't forget about my romper! I have an obsession with rompers! The romper I was wearing use to be McKayla's and I love it! McKayla didn't sun screen at all for the float so she was pretty crisp when we got home and decided to stay home since she could hardly move. So it was the parents, I, and my brother and his friend. Now this was the first time we took the boat out to tube and we only brought out our main tube because we didn't think we would need anything else. We figured the river would be full of boaters and the water would be choppy so we didn't bother bringing the wake board. And we were right about the choppy water! Well seriously not 20 minutes out on the tube, the tube popped! My dad figured it popped because the way he folded it during the winter months. So we were out on the boat with nothing to ride on or enjoy. So our trip was cut short and we headed back home!
Later that evening I got together with the best friend and we wore our patriotic shorts we made the day before and headed out to go watch the fireworks. We explored a little and went out on Clover Island and found a spot on the bank of the river and had perfect view of the fireworks. It was a pretty romantic spot we found haha. But its always a good time with Hannah even when the fireworks were pretty lame this year and didn't last very long.
As for the freedom of our country. I am very proud to be an American and I am so grateful for the men and women who sacrifice their time and their lives to serve this country and to keep us free. And I thank my Heavenly Father putting me in this country and for the freedom of this land and the agency we have because of it. What a great blessing and privilege to live in the U.S.A!
