Texas Get-Away!!!

A week ago I finally went to Texas to visit my sister! It was kind of a last minute thing. I got a text from her saying I found you a plane ticket for $120 its for these days and I'll take you to a Kenny Chesney concert? How could I pass that up!? So 5 days after I got home for summer break I left for the airport!

I get to the airport bright and early only to find out that my flight was cancelled! First of all, this was my first time flying solo so when I found out my flight was cancelled I panicked just a little. But I managed to get a new flight the same day and leave just two hours later. So I flew into Minneapolis, Minnesota with 10 minutes to get to my other connecting flight. So I am speed walking like a crazy person refusing to be one of those people who run in the airport. I get to my gate all out of breath and find that my flight was delayed by 2 hours. So I sweated for nothing getting over there! But I eventually fly into Dallas and see my lovely sister's face!

Now let me tell you, Shana is by far the best biggest sister anyone could ever have! We had such a blast and never a dull moment. Friday we spent the day shopping, going on a walk, trying new places to eat, and going bowling with her friends!

Shopping!!

First time for both of us at WHATABURGER!!!

We didn't have a very successful time with our bowling scores....

The next day Saturday was just as busy as was the day before! We woke up and headed to Forts Worth about a hour away and went horseback riding! I was more excited about this than anything else! If you don't know, I have this deep love/obsession for horses! And going horseback riding in Texas!?! Dream come true! This was Shana's first time on a horse by herself and I couldn't have been more happy that she went with me! We get there and get assigned our horses and I get this cute one named Chiggy. Chiggy liked to eat the trees and grass and was a little bull headed but we were a perfect match hahaha. We went on a trail ride and those horses knew exactly where to go so it wasn't a whole lot of work!

She is soo cute!!!

Chiggy!!

By far my fav picture!!! Shana and Ruby!

After we got back from horseback riding we got ready for the Kenny Chesney concert at the Cowboy's Stadium! At this concert there was Kasey Musgraves, Eli Young Band and Eric Church. We were at the concert for like 6 hours! It was so long but so good! If I learned anything about Texas, it was that Texas people love Texas, cowboy boots, beer, country music and more BEER! At the concert we lucked out and had two drunk couples sitting right in front of us that gave us quite a show that we didn't want to see. From old men hitting on us to shoving beer in our hands, my parents would be proud of how mature their daughters handled the situation compared to these 40-50 years olds!

Sisters! Big height difference!

The next day was Sunday, Mother's Day and we were sad that we weren't home with our mom! We made sure to call and face time her! We spent the day relaxing, napping, and catching up on some TV shows! The next morning I met up with her and some of her work friends for lunch and then I went to work with her and spent the afternoon there. It was pretty cool getting to see where she works and meeting some of those people. Later that afternoon she put me on the shuttle from her work to the airport and I was off!

Shana is amazing. I don't think she will ever know how much fun I had that weekend and how much I appreciated everything she did. She spent countless money on me driving to and fro everywhere, buying my shoes, paying for my lunches and dinner, everything! She is the most selfless person I know! I look up to her for everything and am so thankful she is stuck with me forever! Thank you Shana, I love you!
