Spring Break 2013

For spring break this year I wanted to travel somewhere and do something fun that I never have before. The many different plans that my friends and had all backfired. I was either going to fly to Texas to see my sister, fly to D.C to site see, go on a cruise to Mexico, or spend the week in California. Nothing worked out. So I ended up going home. I was excited to go home and see my family but at the same time I was bummed just because I saved some money for a trip for spring break and I really wanted to do something I never have done before. But.... being home was nice and I actually enjoyed myself and it was fun.

I did a lot homework which sounds super lame but it was definitely needed! I got to sleep in. Went to lunch with my mom. Hot tubing. Walked Bruce everyday. Weather was warm! Went shopping with my mom two days. Had a girls day and went shopping and Aimee and then a movie with her and McKayla. Dinner with the family. Video games with the little brother. Lifted weights. Best friend date with Taylor.

So my parents sent me back with Rico and that was quite the trip! Rico is very special but my back and his seats don't get along very well so it was a long trip for me. McKayla was so nice and drove back to Logan with me Friday and we seriously switched every 2 hours of driving! We stopped near Boise to go to the Nike Outlet, but it seriously took us an hour to find it because it got moved and we just weren't having luck finding it! I was hoping to find some good deals cause I wanted to replace the Jordan shorts that I had stolen from me, but we were in there for like 10 minutes tops. There wasn't a whole lot there. So I was mad that we took forever to find that place and didn't even get anything! We left Kennewick at 11am so we were leaving Boise around 5, traffic.... So we were planing to get into Logan around 9ish. Well me being me.... I missed the exit for Logan and had to drive to Brigham and then go through the canyon. I was not happy about that. More wasted gas and it took us longer to get to Logan! I am so bad with directions sometimes!

Well the next morning me McKayla went to visit my grandma and that was good for the to visit. It has been a while and I know they both were glad to see each other! After that we went to Walmart cause I had no food! Poor McKayla only had a pop tart for breakfast, that was all I had to offer! As we were shopping we ran into Gary and Laura and their family (my uncle and aunt) and they were so nice and took us out to eat. We went to Formosa, a Chinese restaurant , and it was seriously some of the best Chinese food that I have had in a long time! I am so lucky to have such great family!           

 

Well that evening McKayla and me headed to West Haven which is near Ogden, and we went to my aunt Michelle's house. McKayla had a friend headed back home to Kennewick from Provo so she was going to meet them at the interstate on Sunday and ride back with them. So Saturday we went to my cousin's dance dress rehearsal. Rachel is such a good dancer! I was so impressed! She is so cute, I love her! After that we went back to my aunts house and played card games. It was a lot of fun!

The next morning after Church we took McKayla to meet her ride and then I took a lovely nap and then we all went outside and played games. We played lacrosse, softball, and kickball. It was fun! It was a great day. I decided I better have my uncle check the oil in Rico before i headed back to Logan because my dad wanted me to check in it when I i first got to Logan. Well, my uncle did and of course what did he find.....? Basically all my oil was gone,  so he had to run to the store to get some oil and change my oil. Oh Rico!!! I am pretty lucky to have a great uncle who did all that for me! I left that night with food shoved in my hands (love them!) and made it back to Logan!

 

So my spring break was not what I really wanted or expected, but it turned out to be what I needed and it was perfect and I am so glad I went home and did what I did! I have such a great family! My family was pretty busy that week. My mom had some funerals to do and Steve had baseball and my dad and McKayla had work. So although I had a lot of alone time, I was able to reflect and see how lucky I am for having such a great family. I have the greatest parents and siblings! I am so thankful for the time my mom spent with me shopping and spending some money on me. I am so thankful for my dad and all that he put into getting Rico ready for me to leave with. I am so thankful that when me and Steve get in  fist fights, that we can get over it  5 minutes later. I am so thankful for my sister who drove back with me and then only had one day before she headed back to Kennewick. And I am thankful for some aunts and uncles who take care of me!

 

 

 

My brother will probably kill me if he knows i posted this video but it is so funny! Weight lifting at 11 pm and he tries to lift more than he can! hahahahaha

 

 

McKayla will probably will kill me too for this but.......SHE GOT PASSED BY A BUS on the drive back to Logan. Funniest thing ever!

 

 



 

Happenings in the last weeks!

I'm sorry that it has been so long since my last blog post! My life has just been pretty busy. So this post will be a short one just filling you in on what has been happening.
