Thanksgiving

For the past week i have been wanting to write a blog post about Thanksgiving and what i am thankful for. But i had a hard time deciding how i wanted to go about and do it. I am glad that i waited till after Thanksgiving to do so because what i experienced that day is what i want to write about.

Thanksgiving day i went up to my grandparents house in St. Anthony, Idaho. It was the year where all the kids went up. I was fortunate to have a aunt who came and picked me up and took me with them. That day my parents and little brother Stephen also came up. McKayla had to stay because she couldn't miss basketball. Shana also couldn't make it up from Texas.

In my grandparents small house, there was about 50 people. It was chaotic and loud but i loved every second of it. We had a great day full of food conversation football and movies, but to me there was still something missing. It just didn't feel the same. What was missing was the few people who couldn't make it. I never have spent Thanksgiving where Shana and McKayla were missing. I feel i have taken advantage of all those other times where we were all together. Thanksgiving just wasn't the same without them. Being with the Bischoff side of the family, i recognized that the other thing that was missing was my boys Jaiden and Tyson. When there families came walking in the door it just felt weird that they weren't with them.

So this year as i look back at some trials and challenges that i had, some life that i had to endure and get through, i wanted to recognize something that i am grateful for through all those. The first thing that popped in my head was family. I know everyone says that as their first they are thankful for, but this is the thing that i am most thankful for this past year. I have an incredible family. Not just immediate, but extended also. Being with them last week and not being with some of them really got me thinking about how much they mean to me.

I am so grateful that i was brought up in this gospel and church. That i was born to parents who were married in the temple and who also were born to parents who were married in the temple. I am so grateful that we have the opportunity to be with each for eternity and i can't imagine anything different. :)

On a side note, here is my apartments living room wall. We made a thankful tree with leaves that say many many things that we are thnakful for.

A day with my Mom!!

Yesterday i was lucky enough to get a ride down to Layton to spend the day with my mom. Once a year my mom and her sisters and sisterlaws ad my grandma and great aunt always get together and spend a couple of days together. This year they were in layton, 1 hour from Logan! So i had to go! I'm so glad everyone was ok with me spending the day with them, becuase they have the rule of no kids!

When i got there we went striaght to the mall! I had my birthday gift card that i needed to spend so i absoluetly enjoyed shopping! I spent all the money in literally an hour! Man does money dwindle fast! I bought myself a cute shirt dress and an actual dress at DownEast Basics. I then bought me a nice cute white dress coat at Charlotte Rosue and then bout me some boots! The boots were buy one get one half off so i made my mom buy a pair. She so happened to liked the pair i had so we bought the same boots and i love it! hahaha We went to Target and wow have i missed it! We don't have one in  Logan and its probably a good thing or i would spend more money than i do! But my mom was so nice and bought me some snow boots and heavy duty snow gloves. I just need to find some snowpants, i've grown out of my old ones. I plan to have some fun in the snow this year! So excited!

For lunch we went to Zupas and it was the first ive been there! Everyone keeps talking about how they love it and now i know why! Super delicious! I then was able to give my mom her birthday present! Shana and me split it and we bought her a diamond infinety ring and then had all of the kids initials engraved on it. We wanted to remind her how much we love her!

The day was great and my aunts loved the idea to try and set me up with boy that they thought i would just love. hahaha Wow, what a day! But it was great and my cousin Mason came and picked me up and we went to a scary movie 'The House at the end of the Street'. Yes, its pretty scary. Yes, i might have jumped and screamed and yelled out. But it was a trippy movie and the ended was not what i expected! And yes, i went to bed kinda scared only becasue i was scared Mason was gonna try to scare me. But he didn't so its all good! lol
