No longer a teenager!

So i would say not a whole lot has happened this week, but then i realize a lot has! My birthday was on Tuesday and to be honest, i dreading it! I did NOT want to turn 20! That is so old! I wanted to stay a teenager! So i had this paper with a paper chain countdown and everyday i took one off, i didn't like it! I don't know why i detested it so much, maybe becuase i finally realized that i am growing up??

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

But my birthday was good. Did the whole school thing and work, but i did take the afternoon off of work. But i seriously just ended up doing my endless homework! Hilary treated me with some hot chocolate at Starbucks and that sure did warm me up! She is the sweetest!

 

 

Then after that we went skating! Every Tuesday night is the 80's skate night so i made the girls come with me! (minus two of them who can't and hate skating) It was great. I loved it. And Nate and McKay came also and they are so fun!

 

They made me wear the Birthday Glasses!

 

 

After we left that night we went back and Collete had my cake all finished and we did cake and presents!

 

 

 

 

 

I also skyped with my family and made them watch me open their gifts to me :) It was a great night and definitely jammed to some J. Biebs!

 

 

I received many texts and calls and even got a call from my man Russ, the guy i helped do in-home care for over the summer!!! That made my whole night! I guess i can survive the 20s but only cause i have some awesome family and friends!



And then last night was The Howl, our big Halloween party and it was alright. Aimee and me were Mario and Luigi! So original huh? We only saw at least 10 other people with the same costume... hahaha but it was a great last minute costume and we rocked it with our drawn on mustaches!

That night we did some dancing, got tattoos, watched a contortionist, hypnotist, and I EVEN HELD A TARANTULA AND A SCORPIO!!! I was so brave that night!

What a crazy busy week! Next week is gonna be a full one too! School, homework, work, tests, homework and homework and did i mention more homework?! :)

 

 

Conference Week!

So last week was sure a full busy one! After a week of school, Friday finally came! Some friends and I headed to Provo for the football game and that that was quite the trip… it took 5 hours to get there…. Traffic was insane and we avoided many accidents! The game sucked overall, not just because we lost but both teams played like crap! Oh and it was freezing! This idiot forgot a sweatshirt! Good things I have friends who were willing to help keep me warm! The best part of that night was how we put a Utah state flag on one of the post in the BYU stadium! Wonder if it’s still there!

 

After the game it took 2 ½ hours to just get to Salt Lake! But Cody and I and Neil stayed at Neil’s cousin’s place for the night. They were super nice and I was happy to sleep in a bed! The next morning, Saturday, was Neil’s birthday so we headed to City Creek! I only spent $22 on a pair of pants and a shirt! I was so proud of myself! We walked through Temple Square and then downtown Salt Lake. And we ended it off with Crown Burgers! It was a good day! Later that evening we all headed to Syracuse and went to the scary corn maze. That corn maze was legit and one of the scariest ones I’ve been too! Super fun!

That night I went to my aunt Michelle’s and I spent the following day with family watching conference! She is the best for always letting me come stay and hang with them!  For the first session the power went out and it was almost like Satan was trying all he could to get us not to watch it! But I have enjoyed watching conference on my own here and there! I absolutely love hearing the Lord’s voice through his prophets here on Earth! Just love it! And with the prophet’s new assignment about missionaries, it has definitely made me think about all the options that I do have!

Oh and I forgot to add that our friend Caitlin from upstairs took our roommate pictures and I think they turned out great!!
