Last week of Summer!!

What a week it has been! Monday and Tuesday i finished working up at Big 5 and at Russ's. It was way easy to leave Big 5 but not Russ.... It was really hard for me to leave him! He was so kind and gave me an additional 50 bucks in my last paycheck! When we said goodbye I'm pretty sure his eyes were getting watery. I held it together and told him i would gave him soon to make sure that he was getting taken care of (he know was having a nurse come in each day to care for him since i would be gone). Before i left i gave him a present to open when i left. I put our picture together in a picture frame and i gave him A BOOK OF MORMON!!!! It was the scariest thing ever! It was my first one i gave away and hopefully not my last! We have talked religion before and i have shared with him a lot of what we believe. I know he has no interest and earlier i sent the missionaries over to him, they didn't tell him i did, and Russ wouldn't even let them in. But i left him a letter too, telling him how much this summer meant to me and how much he has changed my life. I told him i was giving him a Book Of Mormon because it is so important to me and it makes me happy. I told him that since he was important to me then why wouldn't i share it with him!? I then shared my testimony to him of God's love and families. I hope maybe it did something to him or even maybe in the spirit world when he dies, it will help him accept the gospel easier. I left and got in my car and balled like a baby hahaha.

     

 

 

I then spent the day, Tuesday, with my family out on the river. It was beautiful and i loved it! We got our wake boards out for the first time that summer! Sad huh!? But we did and i was surprised of how

much i remembered! The last i wake boarded was like two summers ago! So i was proud of myself with how i did. I did have one bad wipeout and lets just say that i had water shoot up my butt so hard

that i would take a face plant any day instead of that!

The next morning  i was all packed up and i left for Logan with my parents! I also had a hard time saying goodbye to my sibs. I think i figured it out. I get super attached to people that i love and when i have to leave and say goodbye, its REALLY hard for me! Every time! But i guess that's a good quality sometimes, shows i care. But can be a problem hence i get attached.... haha But we got there Wednesday evening and stayed with my grandparents. Both of them are doing well. Grandma still fighting her cancer and grandpa just healing up from having a pace maker put in his heart.

The next day, Thursday i spent time shopping and getting things ready to move in the next day. Just spent the day with my parents! It was nice! Then early next morning we got up and i moved all my stuff in at my new apartment! My parents could only stay for a little bit because they had to get on the road and get to Reno by 2pm the next day to make it to one of my cousins wedding! It was hard saying goodbye also but not too hard because it happened so fast and i didn't have time to think about it cause i went right back to working on unpacking. So i guess that's good. lol. But i finally have everything moved in and met all the roomies. I live with five other girls and i know two of them already. Living with Aimee and Colette and the new roomies are Hilary, Alicia, and Alexa. I think its going to be a fun year!

 

 

 

 

And then Saturday i went to Bear Lake with Aimee and her family and got burnt to the T but loved spending the day on the beach and boating before school start! But best part ever of that day was getting in the tube with Aimee's grandma! What a hoot! She screamed the whole time and i died laughing! Best thing ever! Super funny!

Bittersweet weekend!!!

What a week I had! My mom McKayla and me left Wednesday morning and drove to West Haven, Ut where my aunt Michelle lives. The drive went pretty fast and it’s super nice to have three drivers to rotate! The next day my family and Michelle’s family went down to Lagoon (a huge amusement park) and met the Beck family there who also had Stephen! Stephen stayed down there the previous week. That day was SO HOT! But it was a lot of fun! I took my motion sickness pills and had my pressure point wristbands and I was ready to go! It was super fun to spend time with family there.

That evening we all headed back to Michelle’s house and waited for the rest of the gang to show up! We were having a family reunion at her house. My mom is 1 out of 11 kids so there was going to be a full house that weekend! For the next two days we all spent time outside at a water park, played volleyball, ate lots of food, talked, played games, ate some more, played lacrosse, played on a huge bouncy waterslide in Michelle’s backyard, and had a great time. I was so exhausted after the first day that I was super tired and out of it the rest of the days! It was fun and nice to spend time with all my family. This was also the last time for two years to spend time with my cousins Tyson and Jaiden. So it was nice to make some more fun memories with them. 

Went to Logan Saturday and got to spend some time with my grandparents. My grandma is still struggling with cancer and isn’t improving, but she’s still hanging in there. My grandpa just got a pace maker put in his heart also. So it was nice to see them for a little. As a family (my dad came up) we went to the Logan fair and walked around for a bit and that was nice! I went to bed early that night and we woke up at 5:45 to get ready and leave to make it in time to Jaiden’s farewell all the way in Aberdeen, ID. Made it there early and all I can say is that his talk was soo good and I knew and felt that he was going to change many lives and be a great missionary! There was a luncheon afterwards and then most of the family left to go home. My dad and Stephen headed home right after and my mom took Shana back to Logan so she could then head to the airport with a friend to fly back to Dallas, and then my mom came back to Aberdeen were us girls stayed the night. That night was full of tired jokes, lots and lots of laughs, and some more time with my cousins. It was hard for me that night when I realized that I wouldn’t see Jaiden for quite a while. I am so proud of him that he is serving the lord and I know he was doing what he should do, it’s just hard for me to concept that I can’t call him or text him when I want to and that I won’t see him and mess around and do crazy stuff with him for two years. My best friend is leaving me for two years and its bitter sweet!

I did make Tyson and Jaiden a pick me up book. I am not a crafty person at all, but I decided to try and make something. I made a book and put some good quotes in it that I found from pinterest of course, and then I had all the family members write a message to the boys and then I put them in the book! It took me longer than I thought and after I was done I decided I never wanted to do anything crafty again! Haha at least for a while.

Well we made it home today and I got my long work schedule, paid for my tuition and am getting ready to head back to school in a week. A lot of emotions going through my mind and I’m both excited and dreading leaving. Its gonna be a long week! J
