"It's the Climb!"

The past two days have been crazy fun and the weekend isn't even over yet! Last night, Friday, i went to this Indian restaurant with a friend. i was super nervous because i am such a picky eater and have a hard time trying new foods. I was scared i wasn't going to like it and waste the money being spent on it! But i went and i took a risk! And surprisingly it wasn't that bad! The rice was pretty good most of all! I was so proud of myself for trying something new!

Then after, Anberlin came to Logan for our End of the Year Bash and i went with some friends. Now i normally don't listen to them or alternative music very much, but i have heard their music because Shana is a huge fan. I was surprised how much i kinda liked them! They were so good live too! I love being at concerts and just feeling every bone in your body pounding from the loud music, great feeling! So that was way cool!

Anberlin!!

Then after that, a group of us drove to Tremonton to go to Denny's! Nothing better than a late night run to Denny's!

The next morning i slept in and it was glorious! Then Kelcey came and picked me up and we went hiking! We hiked up to the wind caves. Neither of us have gone before so we were excited! The story behind that is that from the wind that goes through the Logan Canyon, over time, the wind just drove through the mountain and made the holes and a cave.

Pretty cool huh?!

I absolutely love hiking, but i always seem to forget how going up isn't has easy as going down!! It seemed to take us quite a while to get there, but we enjoyed each others company and talk about EVERYTHING! Once we got up there, HOLY COW!! The view was incredible! I am not use to seeing mountains and so much scenery. It was breathtakingly beautiful! God created so many beautiful things for us to enjoy and i for sure will now hike more so i can continue to be amazed about the view!

Super cheesy but it make me think about "The Climb" by Mily Cyrus! ha ha There are going to be mountains in our paths and we can't go around them or under, we have to climb them. Yeah it is tough and sometimes we stumble and might fall, but we have to get back up and keep climbing. Its exhausting and hard, but once you make it to the top, it is so worth everything we went through to get there! Just like life, i got some mountains of my own to climb but i just got to keep going and stop every once in a while to enjoy the view, but then get back on going one foot at a time. When i reach the top, i know all the experiences and trials and hard stuff i go through each day, will be so worth it!

Enjoy the view everyone, and don't forget to keep climbing!

Babysitting or Fun weekend?!?!?!?

This last weekend i was asked to stay at my aunts to help watch her kids while her and her husband went to Vegas. What a weekend! Got there Friday and spent most of time trying to get caught up on all my homework! That night we mostly just watched movies bought pizza and chilled.

Saturday morning we were up and me and Rachel (who is 9) went to Matthews (he is 8) soccer game!
That day the older boys, josh and mason had lacrosse in Salt lake so me Rachel and Matthew spent the day together! We went to Micky D's, went blowing and then of course shopping! Of course i didnt find anything i was looking for exepet some sweet pink shoes! :)

Me and Rachel! You can sorta see my pink shoes!

Matthew wasn't to thrilled with going to stores so to make it up to him, we went to Petsmart to look at the animals! I was so proud of myself for driving around and going to different small towns and able to find my way around and back to West Haven (that's where they live)! Not to mention i was driving an Excursion! It was huge and it made me feel super powerful haha.

Drove around this big baby!

Sunday, we went to stake conference and then went home an played outside all day! It was a beautiful day and perfect for outside play! We played some lacrosse ( I'm not very good at it), jumped on the trampoline, played with silly string and just sat out and talked! It was a perfect day!

Easter Weekend!!!

So last weekend i was able to spend time with a lot of family! Thursday night my aunt Michelle and uncle Chris picked me up and we headed to Grace, Idaho! We stayed the night at Chris's parents house and basically it was just a time to relax! I slept here and there, watched TV and movies, and then we went out 4-wheeling and had a blast! I have forgotten how fun 4-wheeling was!

Later Friday evening we headed out to St. Anthony, Idaho to go to my grandmas! We got there and played card games all night! That is my absolutely favorite thing about to going to grandmas! My family is a big game family and i always have so much fun! I shared a bed with my cousin Rachel and man did that girl like to snuggle and squirm around! She's a cutie!

I was a little upset because it decided to surprise us and snow! And of course me being me, i only brought shorts and capris because in Logan it has been beautiful!

Saturday, more of the fam cam and we had our traditional Easter egg hunt. I helped hide the eggs since i am now too "old" to participate. :( We ended up hiding the eggs in the snow! Nothing stops the egg hunt! The rest of the day we spent the time sleeping, playing more card games, and just hanging with the fam talking and EATING!!

Brooke and me taking a nap!!!!

Later that night i was reunited with MY BOYS!! Jaiden and Tyson!!! I sure have missed my cousins! Us three and my other two cousins Mason and Josh went to Rexburg and went bowling and played pool. Lets just say my cousins are goobs! Jaiden tried spinning the bowling ball a special way and ended up chucking it so it bounced off the lane and rolled down the hall and hit a wood and broke it... geesh! I decided to try and learn how to do that fancy spin throw that ALL boys do. Let say my bowling score wasn't too hot.... a 13.... yup! but i did do the spinning thing the whole time, so it was a learning day for me! and i did pretty good if i was able to hit some of the pins!! haha I definitely had some good laughs with the boys!

Yup I'm the 13 on the bottom which Jaiden thought it would be funny to put me as "Loser"... Guess it speaks the truth! Oh and of course, Tyson above me with a flippin 171!!!!

The next day, Sunday, Easter, we got up and headed to church! i Sure do love Easter and the feeling it brings and seeing all the cute girls dressed up in their Easter dresses! I was lucky and was able to find my own dress earlier that week! After church we went back to grandmas and had a FEAST! I slept some more, played games, went on a walk with the kids to the river because the sun came out and it was a beautiful day, and then packed up and headed back to good ole Logan!

My cousin Riker and me!!!

It was a nice getaway weekend but now its time for reality and i really to start focusing on my school work!! :/
Until next time!

When time gets tough...

This week has been really hard for me. I found i out that i didn't get this nanny job back in Kennewick for the summer like i was hoping for and really relaying on. I felt really discouraged trying to figure out what to do know for the summer; to stay here in Utah or go home. And then the whole job issue. I need to find a job to earn enough money for school next semester. I was really upset and felt like everything was going wrong for me, was anything ever gonna work out?! But my Dad set me straight from a text that said "Sorry to hear about the no job. I think the Lord has something else planned for you".

I have so many blessing! I am attending college and paying my own way, i have a family that loves me, and friends who make me happy, I'm alive and healthy. The lord loves me and isn't going to abandon me. Maybe i didn't get this job because he has something way better for me. Maybe this is a learning experience that is suppose to make me stronger. Who know? But i do know he loves me and i just need to have faith and all will work out! :)

Like Dieter F. Uchtdorf said, “When our wagon gets stuck in the mud, God is much more likely to assist the man who gets out to push than the man who merely raises his voice in prayer—no matter how eloquent the oration.”

And Thomas S Monson said, "Wonderful, glorious things are in store for you, if only you will believe, hope, and endure".

Things will work out as long as i continue to pray and do my part in it, i know it!

Girls Weekend!

So this weekend Kelcey Aimee and me decided to go down to Salt Lake and try to get into General Conference. We left Friday and stayed at Kelcey's aunt's house. The next morning we went to Bountiful and ate lunch with Kelcey's family because they came up to celebrate Jacy's (Kelcey's sister) birthday. We then went to Bird World which is the pretty neat pet store! Lots of birds were there but they also had bunnies and puppies and even a chinchilla! After spending quite a while in there we us girls headed to Salt Lake!

We got there and waited outside the conference center and seriously after holding our fingers in the air looking for tickets, we got some! CRAZY! haha I have never been to General Conference live before. I was so excited! To see the Prophet and the Apostles in person! Now, we did get way in the back on the balcony seats so lets just say it wasn't a great view, but the spirit in there was amazing! But being home and watching  it on TV, you can actually see their faces and go back if you missed something! haha But the atmosphere of the conference center was what i loved the most, and seeing them in person!
We were at the Saturday afternoon session, and when the announcement of how many missionaries were out in the world and how many church members there were, i started to tear up! The spirit was SO strong! Missionary work has been on my mind lately. Having my close friend (Herman: Salt Lake mission) and my cousin getting his call (Jaiden: Ghana, Africa!!), its just close to my heart. The thought of all those men and women out there serving the Lord to bring people to the truth and to share that happiness, it makes me want to go serve NOW! Nothing could feel better than bringing a family to the temple so that they can be together forever, NOTHING!

After that session we decided to hit up the new City Creek Plaza............WOW! All i got to say! Tons of stores new stores i have never heard of, and stores appearing In Utah for the first time! It was awesome! Me and Aimee literally spent 2 hours in Forever 21 alone! It was so fun but super packed because it being General Conference weekend and during the time of the Priesthood session, the girls were shopping! Literally wanted to buy my clothes for 45 minutes.... the lines were ridiculous!

After shopping till we were tired, we headed to Lindon and stayed with Aimee's family and watch conference with them on Sunday and ate dinner. We got back into Logan late that night and i was exhausted! But it was so nice to leave for a couple of days and to shop and just hang with the girls!

As of now, i have been watching the talks that i missed or fell asleep during and catching up on the words of the Lord. What a great weekend! :)
